The effects of trauma can impact individuals, siblings, parents, and the entire family unit. Needless to say, these effects can be life alternating. This training will cover the neurobiology of trauma in an effort to help attendees grasp the “why” children and grownups respond in certain ways. Additionally, the gap between the reality and the theory of trauma will be discussed as the trainer gives practical tools for building safe relationships and trauma sensitive parenting that will assist families and professionals on the road to thriving after trauma.
